Federal Association of

Christian Counselors & Therapists




To be an association of Christian counselors, therapists and psychologists who glorify God as we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ; to nurture people in sound Biblical faith by providing education, instruction, and other services that will help promote the ministry of Christian counseling. 

To integrate 
faith with reasoning in the behavioral sciences for the betterment of each counselee, the protection of the general public, and for the Church at large.

To promote 
professional competence, support, ethics, and growth among all of its members.

To promote 
pastoral and human relations counseling in appropriate locations for those who need and request such ministry.

To develop
and provide competent professional testing, systems, methods, and procedures for Christian counselors, pastors, practitioners, clinical therapists, and church laypersons.

To certify and license 
individuals as Pastoral Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, Clinical Christian Therapists, Temperament Therapists, Christian Social Workers, and Clinical Christian Psychologists, as well as Chaplains and Life Coaches.

To define, establish, and maintain
professional standards and ethics which confirm member qualifications regarding professional knowledge and practices.

To organize
its membership in various states, districts, geographical regions, and continents.

To support and encourage 
communications and extension of the Christian life and witness by offering sound and comprehensive teaching of Biblical concepts and principles.

To  recognize, support, and cooperate
with various other Christ-centered ministries established by God.
