The Mission of FACCT is . . . 

To be an association of Christian counselors, therapists and psychologists who glorify God as we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ; to nurture people in sound Biblical faith by providing education, instruction, and other services that will help promote the ministry of Christian counseling. 

To integrate faith with reasoning in the behavioral sciences for the protection of the general public and the Church at large.

To promote professional competence, support, ethics, and growth among its members.

To promote pastoral and human relations counseling in appropriate locations for those who need and request such ministry.

To developand provide competent professional testing, systems, methods, and procedures for Christian counselors, pastors, practitioners, clinical therapists and members.

To certify and license individuals as Pastoral Counselors, Clinical Christian Therapists, Temperament Therapists, Christian Social Workers, and Clinical Christian Psychologists, as well as Military Chaplains.

To define, establish, and maintain professional standards and ethics which confirm member qualifications regarding professional knowledge and practice.

To organize the membership in various states, geographical regions, or districts.

To support and encourage communications and extension of the Christian life and witness by offering sound and comprehensive teaching of Biblical concepts and principles.

To  recognize, support, and cooperatewith various other Christ-centered ministries established by God.

      Steps to becoming licensed
                  with FACCT: 

1 - Become a member of FACCT:
The first step is to apply for
membership.  Click here to download the membership application, complete the form, print, sign, and mail with appropriate fee to Membership Chair, Dr. Rodney Paige (address on form). 

2 -
Requirements for license: Degrees and training appropriate for license desired and 30 credit hours of Bible classes or equivalent for all FACCT licenses. Active Membership in FACCT is also required.

3 -
Once you have received your membership certificate, you may submit a pre-application for licensure or certification.  This will allow the Licensure Board to look over your credentials and advise you about licensing with FACCT. Download the
pre-application form, complete and mail with $35 (non-refundable administrative fee) to Licensure Board (address on form).

4 -
Apply for license:  
After consulting with the Licensure
Board, you will need to submit the complete application for the license or certification you are seeking.  Dr. Buddy Morrow will advise you as to obtaining this application.  Submit application and appropriate fee to Licensure Board (address on form).

Note: License fees vary depending upon the certification or license being requested.
